Spatial transcriptomics and single-cell RNA sequencing provide insight into the topography of cell types in a tissue. Spatial transcriptomic sequencing, unlike single-cell RNA sequencing, preserves information about the location of cells in the tissue. It is possible to model the spatial relationships between neighboring positions and the cell types at those positions. In this paper, I present a probabilistic model that spatially accounts for cell types based on spatial transcriptomics data.

In this work, we analyze 2-SAT and MAX-2-SAT computational problems in the context of quantum computations. The computations were carried using the D-Wave quantum computer as well as two quantum simulators SimCim and Wildqat. In this thesis, we formulate 2-SAT and MAX-2-SAT problems as well as necessary concepts from quantum computing. We describe the Ising model and express the MAX-2-SAT problem in this model. We also prove that the 2-SAT problem is solvable in polynomial time.
